The most visual architecture guide to London ever published – more than 60 stunning buildings, designed by some of the world’s greatest architects, presented on a beautifully illustrated map to accompany you on your next trip to “The Big Smoke”.

London’s architecture is a captivating tapestry of history and modernity. The city’s skyline seamlessly blends centuries-old landmarks with contemporary marvels. Our architecture guide showcases historic icons such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and St. Paul’s Cathedral which stand as enduring symbols of British heritage. In contrast, 30 St Mary Axe – Swiss Re by Foster + Partners and Lloyd’s of London by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners are striking examples of high-rise structures that speak to the city’s forward-thinking and highly-technical work.

But it is perhaps somewhere in the intersection between historic and modern where many of London’s most successful contemporary projects fall. Our architecture guide to London also showcases the redevelopment of the Battersea district through works by Herzog & de Meuron, WilkinsonEyre, Foster + Partners, and Gehry Partners, the new King’s Cross Station by John Mc Aslan + Partners, the Great Court at The British Museum by Foster + Partners, and Coal Drops Yard by Heatherwick Studio; all must-see works of architecture and a celebration to the city’s rich history and present.

This thoroughly researched architecture guide is a must-have for architecture enthusiasts of all ages. It makes travel planning effortless and boasts an up-to-date curated list of buildings not found anywhere else; the perfect pocket-companion for your next trip abroad.

Superb architecture guide to the most exciting city in the world! Most of London’s notable architecture is concentrated in the central boroughs but this guide covers some of the buildings in the outer boroughs as well. It is sure to keep you occupied for a few days of long walks through the city to cover all the important works of architecture, of which London has many!

This was a life-saver during my 3-day visit to London. There are so many things to see in London that I would not have known where to start without this guide. It gave me a good sense of what to see and where they’re located in relation to one another. I did one of the recommended walking routes, which was chock-full of sites and easy to navigate. The layout and graphics of the guide are also beautifully designed and add a nice touch. Can’t wait to try out some of the other cities!
