It was a trade city on the infamous silk road but more recently known as an important port city south of Shanghai. A complex combination of old and new, in recent years the architectural stock of Ningbo has risen significantly thanks to the work of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Wang Shu's iconic History Museum.
